my work

Most of us living in western dominant culture have had to develop protective strategies for survival. Often these come up in conflict, especially in intimate relationships where we feel vulnerable.

When conflict arises in our close relationships & communities, it can be challenging to balance access needs and move intentionally within the urgency that capitalism and climate crisis demand of us. Even more so to communicate compassionately & authentically. My goal is to help others get to know their automatic learned responses, become more embodied and choose new tools to move towards generative conflict styles. May these strategies help us build stronger queer communities. May being in touch with our bodies and acting deliberately lead us each to find our place in resisting the oppressive systems we live under.

As my mentor Luna reminds me, escalation is necessary at times. Especially in the face of systemic violence. It will never be my goal to help you learn to accept oppression or acclimate to injustice.

I hope for my work to be as accessible as possible while supporting myself and my loved ones and honouring that my time & energy is finite. If cost is a barrier to you I am open to discussing other options or payment plans. Please get in touch at rupturedfruit@gmail.com if so.

  • “Quin has a powerful presence that creates a sense of calm to work through conflict and personal struggle with dignity and calm. I was very grateful to hear their insights, connecting the contextual dots while holding firm to personal care. I really felt taken care of yet held accountable, a combination that is so important for healing and growth.”

  • “Quin provided me with exceptional peer support when i was going through a rough patch in my life and they helped me understand my feelings and thoughts in a safe and supported manner. They are a good listener, and i truly felt held and heard in a time where i was being gaslit and made to feel crazy. I appreciate the feminist perspective they bring to support work and how experienced they are from their own lived experiences and the amount of work they have done to get to where they are now--i always felt very cared for. Thanks Quin!”
